Final Designs of Badges for Political Blogging Guide 2007

Published by admin at 3:18 am under Political Blogging

20070910-iain-dale-guide-to-uk-political-blogging-coverI’ve been doing the final versions of the badges for blogs to display in connection with Iain Dale’s Guide to Political Blogging 2007, and both Labour and the Conservatives seem to have gone for more “pastel” shades of the traditional colours. The Lib Dems have been a relatively “pastel” shade of orange for some time.

For reasons of cross-browser compatibility and because I can just imagine the parties all rebranding their colours slightly at any random moment, I am going for standard shades of blue, orange and red.

So these are what the final versions look like.

Standard Badges

These will be available from Iain Dale’s blog, and code snippets from the Wardman Wire.

Buttons with Rank Number

To keep the two sets separate, these “rank number” buttons will be available from my Poliblog Perspective blog. You’ll need to know your number in the table to request one.

Wrapping-Up

When the Guide to Political Blogging 2007 launches on 24 September, I will make HTML code snippets available. I’m not currently intending to host badges for you to use remotely.

If anyone has any critiques or comments, now is the time to speak up. I will not be making last minute changes.
